I used to run a lot. Like, 7-8 miles a day. Then I got pregnant and quit. I'm just getting back into running, and I'm dieting hardcore. I have 40 pounds to lose.
So my question is, what motivates you? Do you have tricks or anything to help you stay on track? Today is day 2 and I am doing good! But I am scared that I am going to fall off the bandwagon. I really want to lose this weight. I want to finally feel good about myself.
Re: What do you do for motivation?
Hang a pair of your PP jeans up where you can see them every day. Think about every single thing you put in your mouth. Splurge one day a week. Don't make working out an option, make it a priority.. Don't think about it, just do it.
Don't worry that you'll fail, then you will never get anywhere! If you did it before, you can do it now!
Do you have any stroller fit classes around you? You take baby in a stroller and the workout is designed around the stroller/interaction with baby..
I am very thankful and lucky to be back to where I was before baby, times two. I take my health and physical appearance very seriously, and that keeps me in check. I love talking to others about this b/c I think it is very important to eat right and exercise regardless of how big you are.
Ok.. I'm rambling here.. do you really have 40lbs to lose?

To get to my goal weight, yes. I am 5 8 and right now am 175. I had never been over 135 until I got pregnant. So to get back to 135, yes I have 40 pounds to lose.

what helped me back in the day was to be good sun-fri and give myself a little something extra on sat like go out to eat or what not. What motivates me is something I give myself after I do what I want to. If I was craving something then I would run and give myself the craving. I am kinda weird and crave apples and grapes lol
If you ran that much before, you can do it now. Just keep on like you are now and work at it.. it's all about burning more calories than you consume. Critique everything, keep a journal of what you are eating... just think about how much you want to be back to your old self... it is possible! Don't give up and settle!
Thanks! I definitely am going to put my old jeans where I can see them everyday. And I track everything I eat. I know I can do it, but big goals are always scary! Thanks for all the advice and encouragement!
