I just called a miscarriage support group

and left a message.It took me an hour before I could dial the number..I know one of the girls on here recommended the one in my area a while back but I think it is on the nights I work...I may have to change my work schedule because I think this is important and what I need..Does anyone else go to a support group for loss?

i currently don't go to a support group but it's something i always think about doing when i have these episodes of severe sadness.

i think it's a good idea.

Sadly, there are no support groups like that in my area. You lovely ladies are my support group. But I think it's a good idea Jen. The more support you can get the better!

Did you call your local hospital? I love the support here but I think in light of everything else going on I need to have an "escape" to go and vent ...How are you doing lady????

Yes. I started attending a month after the loss of my twins. It's been the best place for me, and the organizer is someone I can call anytime. Have you tried the SHARE or MISS groups?

While I haven't been to one, I give you a ton of credit for making this call, and I hope you find support and guidance that you are looking for.

(for those that didn't know they had them in their area - I've been going to my RE for 2 years and didn't know that there was a group run out of his office until 2 months ago. They don't advertise, so I found out overhearing another patient talk about it. So ask your docs - they may know!)

That's wonderful Jen.

I went to SHARE for 3 months. It helped me, but every meeting was the same, with the same people always telling the same story. By the time we go to the "support" part it felt like the meeting was over because of the stories.

But I think it's great and I hope it helps you alot.
