Repost from 3-6 b/c you guys are awsome and apparantely, I am on 2 boards at the same time... ![]()
=( I run @ night by myself after I put LO down at 8.....(i know, late) and walk in the am w/ little one in the stroller.. I admit that I don't do it every single day, but I try at least 5 times a week.. But i'm totally contradicting it... b/c I eat too mych.. so I weigh the same now as I did 2 months ago when I started....I've lost and gained.. lost and gained..
I'm busting my ass for nothing. But I love food, It's not what I eat, it's how much. I binge eat.. like eat a ton only twice a day. It's hard..
I'm so upset.
I know my DH is over my fatass. The baby is 5 months.. that excuse doens't work anymore. I want to be hot... =/
Re: I have a problem...
I know I dont belong on this board... I was lurking.
But what I've found is if I dont bring out the whole bag of chips, or the big dishes at dinner, and I only take a little portion in the beginning. I dont eat as much at each sitting. Plus I use the little side dishes, or the tiny bowls so it looks full, but its less. :] HTH.
I'm nearly 7 months PP and I still have weight to lose. Everyone always says 9 months on, 9 months off and for some it takes a year or more to lose it all. I'm sure I will be in the "year or more" boat. I justify the whole "year or more" idea because I was on prednisone the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy and blew up while on it. I also had a c-section and wasn't approved to work out until 12 weeks PP (which is longer than most after a c/s). It's hard, and we as women are hard on ourselves about our bodies normally let alone after pregnancy.
I feel guilty if I even have pizza once a week. It sucks. Have you tried doing a diet where you have a free day once a week? This has helped me in my dieting a lot.
I LOVE YOUR FREAKIN' PICTURE W/ ALL THE MEN AND BABY. Oh my gosh. CUTE!
and thanks for the advice ladies.
I tried this one diet called "quick weight loss" and I lost like 9 lbs in ONE WEEK. but, it was like super hard and had to be a lifestyle change and I couldn't do it.
My DH used to own a gym,be a personal trainer, and a UFC trainer.. so I really feel fat compared to my buff DH, it sucks. He's told me how to eat, what to do, etc.. but it's hard. I am going to become dedicated and DO IT. IF I want it bad enough, I can do it... =0
Diets are hard in and of themselves. I usually fail myself when I say "I'm on a diet" because then I obsess over everything I eat and usually wind up falling off the wagon. I have lost about 17 lbs in the last two months by just counting calories (1,200 a day) and allowing myself one free day. I am horrible at working out consistently - mostly because I can't motivate myself to hit the gym after a 12 hour work day when I have been up since 4 am. Mainly I have been doing the 30 Day Shred approx 3x per week. I also use MyFitnessPal app on my iPhone (or they also have it online) to track my calories. It has been so helpful.
You definitely can do it, but you're right it totally takes the mindset of "I AM going to do it" to get the results.
That's hard when it comes to your DH. My SO is a police officer and he gets mandated time on his work shifts to work out - so he takes advantage of that nearly every day. He also has the metabolism of a jackrabbit on crack. No joke. He is skinny, but muscular and can eat whatever he wants all day long in any quantity. No joke. The other day for lunch he ate 5 corndogs in one sitting and then half a bag of Reese's peanut butter cups. Meanwhile I sat by and ate a salad with nonfat dressing and grilled skinless chicken breasts! ugh.
