December 2010 Moms

anyone else's LO kicking like crazy?

I just read that "energy is now surging, thanks to white fat..."

I thought it was my thanksgiving dinners over the weekend, but she is still crazy!! My doctor didn't mention kick counts but I do them anyway, we defiantly have more than 10 an hour!

So..UMMM...anyone else?

Re: anyone else's LO kicking like crazy?

  • My little boy seems to be active day and night.  Every time I have my OB check up the doctor comments on how much he's moving around in there! I keep reading that his movements should be less noticable because there's less room, but I think he's more active than ever. Big Smile

  • Yes my LO has been crazy lately but today it seems to have slowed down. maybe due to my stress level. I just posted about losing my job and I swear the baby feels what I'm feeling.

  • Mine is a very active little guy. My OB said I should have 10 kicks in a hour and I can count about 10 in a minute sometimes. He is active ALL the time. But, the good thing is, he sleeps when I sleep and is active when I am active or when DH pokes at him Smile)

    This...exactly.

I thought there was less room in there?! I really feel like there should be less room in there...

  • Crazy is an understatement....The other day my hip, rips and everything else were KILLING me and she would not stop moving for anything. I tried walking, laying down, everything. I ended up crying on the couch because I swear one foot was in my rib, one in my lung and only god knows what other kinds of gymnastics were going on in there. Mommy hurts, please just give her a little tiny break!
  • OH and I totally forgot to mention...My little girl is a tease! I always joke that she knows when someone has their hands on my belly (DH included) and will stop kicking...as soon as they move it's like she's competing in the Olympics!!

My little guy does the EXACT same thing!!! Already messing with Mommy and Daddy!!

He's super active. Especially, for some reason, when I am at work.

  • yes, his movements just keep getting stronger & more painful for mommy! When he's really going, I'll get 10 kicks in 10 minutes, and about 50 movements in an hour.

  • This is my baby too!  He gets all crazy kicking, and the minute my husband puts his hand near my belly baby gets all quiet and still.  And then he is back at it a few seconds later.  I think he is still getting more active each day-he was pretty calm earlier in the pregnancy, so I guess he is warming up for his arrival?

  • She seems to go through quiet phases and crazy phases, but she is in a crazy phase now.  It's kind of fun!  I'm sure it won't be once she is bigger, though. ;)

  • yes! but he's been like that since 22 weeks or so.. i am afraid. :) my doc always says "that's a good sign!" so i wouldn't worry.
  • I cuddled up behind my husband this morning in bed and I thought he fell back asleep. Out of nowhere he kind of half-laughs, Ha.  I'm like, what?  He said the baby must be throwing a party in there.  He could feel the baby kicking his back:)

    It was kind of funny.

  • ME!!! Holy crap, this kid is wiggling all over the place. She doesn't kick as much as twitch, wiggle, roll, and just MOVE all.the.time.

It's adorable and reassuring but sometimes a little much. It's so distracting! And then, of course, on the rare occasion that it stops, I can't help but notice and worry. Sheesh!

  • I've noticed a lot more activity lately more than ever.  I love it though.

  • I love the activity too...I still can't figure out how she doesn't annoy my dog though...she constantly kicks him!!
  • Yup, all the time, and harder lately too.  Last night was the first time I felt her on both sides of my belly at the same time!
  • Some days she is active all day long, other days she likes to sleep most of the day unless I poke at her. I always feel her everyday though. It has for sure been a lot more than earlier in this trimester.

  • This little guy is a dancing machine a good part of the day.  Every time I go in for a NST the nurses comment on how active he is.  My cat was sprawled out over me the other day and LO started to move like crazy...the cat gave me that annoyed 'cat look' and was like, 'for real? get the kid to knock it off.'

Like others have mentioned, LO will immediately stop his gymnastic routine the second he knows someone else's hand is trying to feel him.  The little stinker. ;)
