I made my brother a little book (just out of paper, I didn't like get it professionally printed or anything). And on the front it had a picture of us as kids with the title "Remember when?" And then there were a few pages that said things like "we played legos all day long", "you ripped the heads off my ken dolls", "i made you watch Full House for hours on end"
and then the last page said "well you better be ready to bring out your inner child, because you are gonna be an uncle!" with a picture of me holding a onsie in 1 hand and a pregnancy test in the other.

Aw, that's so sweet!! Did he love it?
I'm lame and uncreative. I sent my brothers a text telling them they are going to be uncles

I gave my Brother a onsie saying "Danger: My uncle happens to be a MMA fighter" (that's his passion). It was his birthday present and it was amazing seeing him react. He knew we were struggling with ttc and is the most supportive Brother! Just make it unique to something they do or care about, no matter what you do they are going to be thrilled!...maybe set them up and just say they have to have a challenge (arm wrestle, sprint, etc.) then say "whoever wins will be the first Uncle to hold the baby!"
I wish now that I'd thought of something creative but after telling DH, then my mom I wanted to tell my brother (other than my telling my closest friend, these are the only ones I'm telling for now!).
I called him & blurted out something/asked if he'd like to be called "Uncle John" & he was blown away. I asked if it was because he still thinks of us as, say, 12 and 9 years old.
In somewhat typical "younger brother-to-big sister" fashion, he replied, "It's not so much that I think of myself as still being 12 or 9 years old; you, on the other hand......"
Yes he liked it, but he's a boy, so I am not sure I would say he "loved it", but I loved making it, so I don't care!
And apparently it wasn't a surprise because him and his girlfriend were betting on how soon after hubby & I got married, I would be knocked up! lol!

I called my brother and asked him if he had supper yet. When he said no I said you should go to A&W. He asked why, was I there or something. I told him no, you should have an uncle burger because your gonna be a uncle. He was very surprised and very excited, lol.
