Tutor Time-yay or nay?

I toured today and think I like it.  Just wondering what kinds of complaints or concerns those of you who have used them have.  I love the daycare center DS has been in since 6 mos but can't afford it now that I am having a 2nd.  The part time at his center is priced out hourly so you really don't save anything.  Whereas with Tutor Time you pay by the # of days. And I think I can kind of swing keeping my business afloat with 3 full days & rely on family & friends when extra is needed.

Re: Tutor Time-yay or nay?

  • It's hard to say if they are good or not. It's a franchise operation, so each is run differently. There are 2 in my county. One of them is wonderful. Everyone I know who has used them has only good things to say. The other - well, everyone I know who went to that one left and said they would NEVER go back. The awful one has a high turnover on staff, too many part time staffers (different teachers in the morning and afternoon), kept bad records, and one friend walked in and the "teacher" had the kids dancing to an inappropriate song on the radio.

So I think the best you can do is ask around and see what people who have used that particular center have to say.
