RE Appt Today

So, DH and I went to our first RE meeting this morning. After a breast exam, she did the internal U/S. She found both ovaries and uterus and everything looked good. She saw 6-7 follicles on each ovary but obviously couldn?t tell if I had actually ovulated. She seemed to take my charting and previous OPK use as proof that I am ovulating. I did have DH in the room with me and, while it was slightly uncomfortable, it was fine. He was running a little late so I got to get undressed by myself. I think he felt bad for me more than anything else. I?m not sure he realizes how very normal that whole process (at least the annual exam part) is for us.

So, then we met with her in a fully-clothed environment and she told me exactly what I presumed ? that my main hurdle is my age and that everything else (my BW and DH?s SA) look normal. After some discussion about options, she prescribed me Clomid to start on next cycle to try to lengthen my cycles (down to 24 days last cycle) a bit and we?ll do BW on CD3 and CD10 to see its effects. I?m a little wary because of my history of migraines associated with changes in estrogen, but we?ll deal with that when and if the time comes. Provided I tolerate the drug ok, we?ll try this for a few cycles and move onto IUI if necessary.

So, all in all, good news and a plan forward. I?m just waiting on AF now to put the plan in motion ? we were TTA this cycle because I had to get the MMR vaccine booster, so no chance I?m PG. Thanks for all your support.
