What mattress should we get?

Good evening ladies!

The more research I do the more I cant make a decision. This is our first child.. So I have no experience..

Can any of you quide me in what mattress I should get? I read organic, but everyone said they have a bad odor? But now I hear non organic has a plastic odor and isn't as hard. Which i guess you want in a mattress... HELP!

We were also very concerned about the crib mattress being safe, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, etc. So in my opinion these mattresses are the best of the best when it comes to meeting those criteria.

So far we really like them, the mattress is nice and firm and fits our crib perfect. The cover looked big at first but after washing fits perfect as well. It was our solution to not really being able to splurge for the organic mattress. HTH.

We have the Colgate Classica III for DD but went with the Moonlight Slumber for this baby (decided to try organic, LOL)

I got a serta mattress, but mine was a hand for me down...my friend had it 4 her son but he maybe used it for a couple of weeks..he slept with them for the rest of the time. Soo its been barely used...sorry I'm not much help

And we decided on the Naturepedic. I was able to get a great deal on ours, which is hard to find with this brand. A non toxic, hypoallergenic mattress was one of the most important purchases for us, next to the carseat. We actually just got it out and set up and it has NO odor whatsoever.
