I'm starting to feel like I'm getting the run around...Update in reply

I called USAA who told me to call the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleavland who just told me to call the Department of Education: Student Loan Payment.

No one can tell me who the payment went to, the Government people tell me I only have one loan and my old school wont give me my record of financial aid!

Bleh. Running up the phone bill I guess..... 

Edit: I just looked up the Department of Education, they're the same people who told me I only have one loan and have never made a payment! Fudge. I need a smart person to handle all this junk.

    Has your bank given you any info on where the payment went?  They were tracing it for you right?

    This situation was ridiculous to begin with and it just keeps getting worse.  I wish I knew what to tell you.  Insanity!

    I want to throat punch everyone of those people for you.  That is so frustrating!  I hope it gets worked out correctly soon!

    Final Update:

    Ok, apparently I had two with Direct Loans that were combined into one which is the one I paid off. I still have one with Sallie Mae who is now through come Cavilear Fund in Florida(?) and the parent one my parents are paying.

    I wish I were smarter about this back when I first got them all. I didn't know I had so many! Thankfully all together less than $5k is owed.

    The reason I didn't have the one my parents are paying on my records is because it's a parent loan under my dads name.

    Oh, and no one ever told me that my two with DL were combined, I had to figure it out on my own. Lol
