Free CFLs from Duke!

If you are a Duke Energy customer you can get some number of CFL bulbs FREE, possibly up to 15 bulbs.

Call 1-800-943-7585 and keep choosing option 1 for CFLs.

Enter your Duke Energy account number, OR the social security number, OR the phone number, associated with your Duke Energy account and follow the remaining prompts. They will tell you how many CFLs you are entitled to. They then mail them to the address listed on your account. You pay nothing and can start saving money on your electric bills.

FYI - this is not valid for those who live in KY. I called the other day and the recording said that this program was not good for the state that I live in.
