TTC After a Loss

FWP every day isn't working out too well

I'm not charting, yet. I plan on starting at the beginning of my next cycle, so for now I came up with the brilliant plan of BDing every day for 7-9 days to cover all the possible O days. We did good for the first three, and then tonight we just couldn't. DH had a pretty easy time getting ready, but he couldn't finish. Does this ever happen to anyone else? Are we being too rampant and depleting DH's natural resources? Every other day is probably best, but it took us sooo long to get pg last time that I don't want to mess around and DH is almost as excited as I am to get a BFP. According to the generic Ovulation Predictor on here, tomorrow is the big day. I guess we'll take a little break for tonight, let DH's little guys rest up and get ready for tomorrow.

  • Yep, there are a few of our DHs that have this problem, including mine.

Without charting or using OPKs, it is really hard to know if you are BDing when you should.  Are you checking your CM or anything else to give you a hint?  Your ovulation can be really off the norm, especially after m/c.

I think EOD would be sufficient though--GL!

  • do you monitor your CM at least? are you noticing some EWCM? Do you use OPK's?  IMO it's ok to let DH rest up for a nightWink Good luck tomorrow!

  • That's normal.  Every other day might take the pressure off and it will seem more "normal" (at least for us its totally obvious and more pressure if we all the sudden start doin it every day)
  • Best of luck to you and your DH! I know the feeling it took us a long time too! Once you finally got that BFP you get so excited that is all you want.  I think a lot of us are in the same boat but I would probably try every other day just so you aren't getting exhausted with it.
  • my DH has this problem- i think he lets his mind get too involved instead of just enjoying it- being on here makes me feel a little better about it as i was feeling like it was only us- and couldnt talk to any of my IRL friends about it- DH knows he has to FWP this week so he better not have issues- altho he does seem excited about it this week-

  • We don't have a performace problem, but we have a tiredness issue. My H works very long hours and also needs to exercise at least 3 days a week. I aim for EOD and anything on top of that is gravy. But I agree, at least OPKs will help you SO MUCH. They are fun, trust me.

  • I admire your determination.  I just go by my EWCM and confirm with an OPK (get EWCM two days before I O, without fail).  Once the EWCM shows up ... game on!  That's about all I have the stamina for.  lol!
