When is it okay to give yogurt?

I've read some places 7 months and other 8-9.  TIA!

  • I started using the Yo Baby yogurt at 7 months but my pedi okayed it at 6 months.

  • Yogurt is after 6 months and you can use any kind as long as it is from whole milk.  I mix plain grade A yogurt with fruit for LO as part of jis breakfast.

  • My pedi gave me the ok at DS 6 month appt. We gave it to him the first time this passed weekend and he loved it.

    I have read on wholesomebabyfoods.com you can give it as early as 6 months. I give DD a few tastes of mine.

  • I started at 7mo.  More importantly, it's great to 'see' you and Zoey looks adorable.  Hope all is well on your end!

  • My pedi has always said 8 but I think he's worries more about filling them up with yogurt instead of nutrient dense bm/formula.  My sister is a pediatric dietician and she just told me they say 6-8mo.
