IUI#2 is never going to happen.....

IUI#2 has been cancelled....again......

After virtually no response on 75IU of follistim on Tue and Thurs, we doubled my dosage to 150. On Saturday, we saw 4-5 follies that were starting to get big. We took the dose back down and went back Sunday and saw even more ready. No medicine last night and today we had 8 @14mm, 6@12mm, and a few at 10. Holy cow. My E2 doubled overnight again to over 2,000. My doctor's exact words were "this looks great for an IVF cycle". Sigh....but this was IUI and we can't convert right now.

So we're not even allowed to have protected sex at this point. I start provera tonight....and we start all over again in a couple weeks. This really sucks....

I'm so sorry, that is beyond frustrating. (((hugs))) The IVF comment is just mean too. Ugh.

I know this is probably not what you want to hear but I want to say something positive right now. At least you had to cancel because you responded too WELL to the meds, right? I mean, I know this cycle is a bust but at least it's not because you DIDN'T respond and to me that is a positive thing. Like I said, I know it is no consolation but I do try to look at the bright side on these things sometimes.

Hehe. Thanks. Actually, one of the first things I said to DH was "well, at least that means I won't be using as many meds next time around....and if we have to do IVF, meds will be cheap".

I was setting up for failure to under respond. Once I saw myself starting to respond, I think I got a bit hopeful. Never expected to over stim like this!
