Total Tri Question (maybe tmi for sissies!) - Boob Question

So P-PG, i had a  "few" white bumps on my areola. During PG, they got increasingly more, and on the tri-boards I was told it was colostrum. Now Post-PG and while BFing I still have them. They are on the areola, on the outer edge and even on the the tissue (flesh) of my boob. ALMOST like white heads.

I just can't fathom that this is colostrum. I assume it has to be due to bfing and lactation. Anyone have any idea?

    I have bumps like that too but I always had a couple here and there. I got more when I got pregnant, My areolas also got huge and dark. They almost look like they can pop but I never tried. I never thought anything of them though, they never bothered me.

    I have them too. Thinking back a year ago when we took our BFing class I think the bumps have a purpose and they secrete something with an antiseptic property. I could totally be talking out of my butt right now but I think that's what I remember.

    and Elissa, mine totally to "pop". I can squeeze stuff out of them.

    This.  I heard this in BF class as well.  We were told not to worry about washing breasts as these are the natural way for them to sanitize on their own :)
