If you didn't respond to Follistim...c'mon in

If you didn't respond to follistim, a few questions for you:

-At what point in your cycle did your RE throw in the towel?

-What was recommended to you for subsuquent cycles (new/different protocol)?

-How was it confirmed that you weren't responding?

On CD6, my E2 was 71. On CD7, it dropped to the 40's. So, my RE told me to stop taking the drugs and we'll try again next cycle. I haven't heard what procotol he's planning on using next.

Re: If you didn't respond to Follistim...c'mon in

  • I wanted to let you know that last November I did injectables for the first time and although my E2 kept going up, it wasn't much higher than 100 and my RE also had me stop.   I was so sad when that happened!  However, I got the guts to give it one more try in April of this year and my RE did 100mg Clomid and 150 Gonal F and I responded like crazy.  6 completely mature when I triggered and two others that were close.  I didn't get pregnant, but at least I produced!  Hoping the same will be true for you!

Wow, you did produce! I'm sorry it resulted in a BFN Sad

My RE called back this afternoon. It looks like for next cycle I'll be on 300iu of follistim and 2 extra shots of LH each day. Hopefully this will be the magic cocktail.

Thankfully, DH's sperm have a good track record of sniffing out an egg if one is there. I just need to get one there and keep it safe for 9 months (that's the hard part!)
