BellaBand vs BeBand (Target)

How much does each cost?

Is the BellaBand a lot better?

I don't feel like driving to the mall for the Bella when Target is two minutes away, but I don't want to spend $ on a crappy product.

Example: I bought the Spanx made for Target (Assets by Sara Blakeley) once and they SUCK! They're more like panties shaped like bike shorts than a shaper and they don't really work. Wondering if BeBand is like this.

Re: BellaBand vs BeBand (Target)

  • Oh, I want to know too - someone please let us know.  I thought maybe I was the only one whose waistline was getting big already (at this stage).

  • I used the BeBand all throughout 1st and 2nd tri and loved it. Once you start to get too big, you'll graduate to maternity pants :)

  • I only have used the Target kind twice so far and it works really well.

  • I ordered the BellaBand today for $26... we'll see how it goes... right now I just need it on super bloated days...

  • I have the BeBand from Target.  I haven't needed it yet so I can't comment on the effectiveness.  I did unbutton my pants and walk around the house and it seemed ok.  I didn't see a huge difference in the Bella Band and the BeBand when I compared them.  If I thought I would use it a ton, I may have splurged on the Bella, but I have a feeling I won't use it all that often and dind't want to waste money.

  • I've got one of each.

The BeBand is a slightly thinner fabric. The BellaBand feels tighter/more elastic. They've both behaved about the same way so far - lets me wear my jeans unbuttoned without fear of flashing the world.

If I was paying full price, I'd probably just get the knock-off. I got the Bella cheap off eBay and a friend mailed me the BeBand.

  • I have used both and  the BeBands from Target are cheaper and worked great with my last pregnancy. They both work better if you put it on under your pants then roll it over the top.

  • I bought a BeBand and it does the job, I like it. I'm not sure how they compare to Bella Bands though because I have never used those.

  • This kind of saves the dilemma if it doesn't gross you out that someone else tried it on already (I always wash everything I buy before I wear it anyway):

You can get the original bella band for $15.95 at the outlet part of the site.  I heard mixed reviews about the be band, and I found out about this deal, so I ordered a few bella bands (black, white, and brown) for when I need them.  My bloat or belly (not sure what it is at this point) is higher than the waistband of my pants, so I am not needing them yet.

  • I bought two Bella Bands; one was $26 and one was $30. (The more expensive one had totally unnecessary lace trim.) I didn't even try the Target brand; I just figured I'd buy the original.

  • I just bought the BeBand for the same reason...didn't want to take the ride.  So far I love it!  I am able to wear my favorite jeans ans don't have to worry about them falling down.  I wear my pants unbottoned w/ the band doubled, keeps both sides of the jeans flat and my pants up!
  • I got the Tummy Sleeve at Motherhood Maternity today and it seems awesome. I don't know what the difference is between all of them, but the material one on this is great. It was $17.

  • I have the one from motherhood and the target one.  I don't see a difference in them.  They both work ok.  I do feel like I need to adjust them after sitting down and standing up.

  • I got the BeBand and it works wonderfully! Its one of my favorite clothing items. I haven't tried the BellaBand yet.
  • I bought the one for Target and it sucks! It doesn't stay in place. I can't stand it. I wouldn't bother buying it.
  • I had a white BeBand for my last pregnancy and wore it through my whole pregnancy (starting at about 8-10 weeks) and then for about 6 weeks post partum.  I wore them even with my maternity pants because I never felt like my pants would stay up without them.  I plan to buy a black one this pregnancy so I have both.  I think the next pregnancy I will get the tan one. :)

  • I got the one from target when I was about 12 or 13 weeks b/c even though I could still button my pants was starting to feel a bit weird ... I use it folded in half over the top of my unbuttoned jeans and it says in place for the most part.  Though on ocassion I'll notice that the back has slid down (maybe it wasn't pulled up enough) or my shirt in the back has ridden up b/c of the extra material.  I read a post on here that said to put the band on before your pants, then flip it down.  I'll try that tomorrow when I go to work. Overall, I like it and the price and will continue to use it until I completely grow out of all of my pants :)
