What are you wearing for your shower?

I want to get something chic and most of the dresses I'm seeing are reeeeally blah. I'm thinking I might lean towards pants and a top because I feel like I can pull that sort of outfit together better. Show me or tell me about what you are going to wear for your shower(s)!

Mine was a total surprise, so I was wearing gauchos (that you could see my undies through!!) and a tank top!! I thought I was just meeting a good friend for lunch at her house, so I didn't change my clothes from lounging around the house.

HOWEVER, had it not been a surprise, I think I would have found a pretty, but informal, sun dress or maxi dress. Comfortable and cool, without sacrificing style!

I had a small shower/get together around 22 weeks. I wore a sundress from Old Navy (non-maternity). It was a pink tropical style print, with a smocked empire waist and went below my knees. For the pseudo shower that I am having at the beginning of Nov. (it is being held during a regular spouses club meeting) I don't know what I will wear. Probably jeans and a cute top, it is at 6pm.

Whatever fits

My shower is November 13, so I am guessing I will wear either khaki pants or dark jeans, sweater, and nice boots. Something semi-casual and comfortable.

for my shower on saturday a gray and black striped tunic and black leggings.

if my friends out here throw me a shower ill probably wear jeans and a cute top.

I am having three showers- so I am stressing about having something cute to wear for all of them without repeating!!! My shower next weekend, I am wearing my new favorite maternity outfit- I got a really cute top from gap maternity and new jeans that look amazing- and happened to have jewelry already that really compliments the outfit and dresses up the jeans.

I am hoping black, knee high boots look good, and may even wear black leggings underneath.

For my other shower, which isn't until 12/3, I bought a dress on the clearance rack at tjmaxx. It isn't maternity, but is a large size. It has a black v-neck top w/ a grey, silk skirt. The skirt is very "bell-like," so I am hoping it will accomodate my bump well, which will be HUGE by then. I'll probably wear a black cardigan over it, and most likely leggings and flats (or heels if I am brave). If it doesn't fit or look good, I'll shop for something closer to that date.

I am also having a work shower, but it is after work on Friday, 11/12, so I will be wearing jeans and a cute top. What that cute top is, I don't yet know!

I have three dress options. or I might wear some black maternity skinny pants tucked into boots with a top that shows my belly and a cardi. I know I definitely want to wear something that shows the bump since it is kinda the whole them of things right. Here are some pics of the items I might wear, but it is still a month away and I tend to shop

this is a gap maternity dress, sorta a line but still hugs the bump with a sweater from anthroplogie, thinking of wearing it with brown wedges (only cause I know I wont have to walk, these are like 4" tall lol)

this is a print dress from BCBG not maternity and is straight, so realllly hugs the bump. a black cardi and a scarf depending on the weather, it's sleeveless so I will need something for my arms. then prolly wear it with tights and some suede knee high boots

Black straight dress from Anne Taylor, with a cream cardi from anthropologie and again the same boots but since this dress is longer i wont need to wear tights.

Then if I am just feeling not all that fab, I will wear seperates, possibly skinny jeans or black skinny pants and probably this top, it's not maternity but fits really welly.

hubs has the day off and said I probably wont wear any of that since I am a "event shopper" I asked what that was and he says that when I have special events to go to I go out and get at least one new piece of clothing to wear. To which I shrugged and said your right with a smile. But at this point I'm really gonna try hard to not buy any more maternity clothing since I am so close to the end and think I have enough to get me through the holidays.

Now hopefully it will be chilly for my shower but here in San Diego you never know it might end up being 80degress and I'll be in a sun dress lol

For my planned shower from DH family I'll probably wear a black wrap dress from gapmaternity, black ankle booties and possibly tights. For my local suprise shower-I'm planning on looking good whenever I leave the house (or trying to anyway) prob in jeans, boots and cute tops.

honestly, probably my comfiest maternity jeans with a cuter-than-i'd-normally-wear top. Unless I can't find one. In which case, whichever top makes me look the least bloated that day.

I bought a super cute light blue maternity dress from Forever 21 back in August, so I'm wearing that. I was thinking about wearing that for graduation a month later as well, but I need something with pockets to wear to graduation.

I just spent WAY too much money on maternity clothes esp when I still fit in to pre-preg tops. So I have quite an array to choose from. Depending on what looks good at the time I will probably wear a dress and a pair of leggings.
