On Friday, I started getting a headache that then lasted the duration of the weekend. At one point it hurt so bad that I just had to take a nap. It isn't as strong today, but still comes back when I stand up too quickly. Is anyone else having this problem? I am trying to figure out if it is just hormones going crazy or if I should call my dr. Thoughts?
Re: Headaches at 14 wks
I just started getting headaches and I NEVER get headaches. I've been blaming them on seasonal allergies..but maybe I should shift the blame to pregnancy. How long until your next appointment? If it isn't long you could wait until then, or give them a call to ease your mind

I had horrible headaches @ 14 weeks. Most likely they are pregnancy related - the hormone levels are dropping, which can cause headaches.
I tried to snack all day, drink lots of water, and took Tylenol. Mine lasted about 3-4 days and then went away. If it is unbearable, talk to your dr and see what they say. Better safe than sorry.
Hope you are feeling better soon!
I've been suffering from headaches. From the more people I talk to, the more I'm finding out this is a common 2nd tri thing. It definitely has to do with hormone adjustments.
I find that caffine helps me if Tylenol doesn't. Also naps and baths help too.
I plan on mentioning it to my Dr at my appt tomorrow, but I don't think it needed to be addressed before then.
I started getting them around 13 wks. I've read that they can be caused by HCG levels dropping, which happens at the end of the 1st tri b/c the placenta takes over.
