I had a WICKED toothache, but had no idea that it was because I was pregnant
You really won't know until your doc confirms with a blood test. Try not to dwell on all the little "feelings" because your mind likes to play tricks. The month I got pregnant I truly had no idea until I took a test

With my first pregnancy, my boobs were excruciatingly sore right away. In the almost 20 years I had been getting my period, they never ever hurt like that. I practically couldn't move they hurt so much. I also kept getting a poking, pinching pain in my lower right pelvic area. I believe I had a few other signs early on, but I don't remember them now.
With my 2nd pregnancy, I didn't have the sore boobs or the pinching pain, so I didn't think I was pg at first.
The only "symptom" I had in common with both was that out of nowhere I broke into a soaking wet sweat and became very dizzy for a few minutes around day 6 or 7 with both.
I'm going to end this by saying that everyone's different. I've never heard of a tooth ache = pregnant, but maybe I missed a memo.
With that said, if you think you're pregnant and it's too early to POAS, call you OB and see if they'll do a blood test. POAS or having some blood drawn will get you a better answer as to whether or not you're pregnant than we can.
LOL, I just came back into this thread and read the reply about the toothache....
Sorry to pp, but that was definitely NOT a pg symptom. Now all the hopeful lurkers reading this are going to wait for their teeth to start hurting! LOL!!
Didnt you ask these very same questions last month? Seriously, like 2 weeks ago you thought you were pregnant. Why dont you practice some patience and wait until you learn if you actually are pregnant, and then this board will be more than happy to answer any pregnancy related questions for you. Until then, please, please, please, find something else to post about.

I had no symptoms this time....I did with the pregnancy before this one (we miscarried shortly after finding out...I tested at 10 dpo then and got a positive result). I tested positive at 12 dpo this time. Honestly, you are driving yourself crazy with all of this...my best advice is don't over think things and just let things happen. When you get pregnant you will know when you get a positive test and confirm it with the doctor. You may or may not have symptoms. Everyone is different...every pregnancy is different even with the same person...so just relax and let it be. Much more enjoyable that way too! GL.

This. THANK YOU for saying what need to be said.
Not even 2 weeks ago did you post that you were officially off the pill and beginning to TTC. Like PP said, practice some patience. And please do not go by the ovulation calander you posted about before- every woman is different and the online ovulation calanders assume you have had a 28 day cycle forever.
To the original poster - the thing that causes pregnancy symptoms, the hormones, are also the same thing measured by pg tests. So, if your levels are high enough to be causing symptoms then they're high enough to result in a positive test also. We've all been there. Wanting to be pregnant and hoping that this is the month that we experience "phantom" symptoms. I know it happened to me many times. But I "knew" rationally it was all in my head and sure enough I was not pregnant. We tend to read into every little thing. Like the others said, try to be patient, if you're pregnant you will get a positive test or miss your period.
So, don't get scared away, we all want to be helpful but posting a question wanting to know how we knew we were pregnant without missing a period or a positive test is impossible!!! So, yes, we are having fun at your expense but try not to take it personally. Good luck ttc and feel free to ask questions about pregnancy test brands or ovulation predictors, etc.
Yep, Leanna is right. I had fatigue and flu-like symptoms on 15 dpo, when I got a BFP. No real symptoms before then and got tested negative just a few days prior, on 11 dpo. So, it's hard to distract yourself for those two weeks, but you should try, otherwise you'll drive yourself nuts.

According to my OB, your gums can become VERY sore, hence causing a toothache. My gums also bled. Never had any of these issues pre-pregnancy. Would I rely on a toothache to determine pg, um no... but I also did not have "text book" symptoms till about 6 weeks.

Well said Leanna! I will reiterate though that it is so much better for your sanity not to stress about symptoms and getting pregnant. Either way, most symptoms don't start till your hormone levels are a bit higher, at around 6-7 weeks so just guide yourself by testing and I recommend not to go crazy testing either. I never tested before a missed period, it will just drive you crazy otherwise. That stress in itself can reduce your chances of pregnancy. I tell you this because I went through it when I wanted to get pregnant and I am sure most ladies did. Go with the flow and your TTC experiences will be so much more fun! Good luck and I hope you haven't been discouraged to post on this board. The ladies here are really great and helpful!

Yes, your gums become very sore and bleed.....that is due to increased blood volume in your body, which occurs when your uterus starts expanding you start pumping blood to your baby through the placenta. However, swollen gums do not cause toothaches. I'm sorry, but you answered the original question by saying that your earliest pg symptom was a toothache and that is in no way a symptom of early pregnancy. I just wanted to clear that up before people reading this post became misinformed.

Actually, toothaches and swollen gums generally go hand in hand. And there are obviously a host of other reasons one could suffer from a toothache. With pregnant women, however, toothaches are usually caused by inflamed gums due to the surge in hormones, as you stated.
Would I run around saying, "Oh my goodness, you have a toothache, so you must be pregnant!" No. Of course not. Do I think that you misunderstood what I was trying to say, yes, I do - but that's ok. Prior to pregnancy I'd never had a toothache in my life. Did this toothache prompt me to take a pregnancy test? No, but it did send me to the dentist who asked if I could be pregnant because pregnancy tends to cause ... toothaches (and p.s. I had nothing wrong with that tooth).
In my opinion, no pregnancy symptom is a pregnancy symptom until one has a for sure positive pregnancy test. Everyone woman is different. Some woman taste metal, some have really tender breasts, others never have a symptom a single day during their pregnancies.
So, I don't think I misinformed anyone. People need to inform themselves. We can give advice and our experiences, thats it. What other's do after that is their call ... If they want to take their toothache as a sign of pregnancy, that's their prerogative.
