Sore nipples after 7 months?

I don't post often but my nipples have been really sore for the last few days, I have no scabs or anything like that. I have not had sore nips since the first few weeks. Anyone else experience this?

    My lo is only 3 months, but I go through phases of getting sore nipples. Nothing like it was in the beginning though, but definitely not comfortable!

    I went through this 3 or 4 times over the first year.  Usually it meant that Drew and I were getting lazy. :-)   If I started paying closer attention to latch (like in the early days) and re positioned him if needed, the soreness would take care of itself.

    Any chance you're pregnant??? that was the reason i got sore nipples @  11 mos!  a poor latch didn't help, but id never been bothered before so i didn't worry about it.  Now instead of 6x/day she gets one... in the middle of the night when she's half asleep and it doesn't hurt so bad!  And before too long she's gonna hafta make way for the next!  LOL  don't want to scare you, just a thought to consider!

    She has never had the best latch but it never bothered before.

    @christins1776 - Had you already had your first period after giving birth when you got pregnant? I have yet to have a period and pregnancy crossed my mind. EEK!

    yes, I had 5 periods, and we were trying to have another.  I have a friend who never got hers, and her LO was just 3mos... it does happen!  All i can say is, if there's a chance take a test.  If the first one is neg wait a week and take another, unless you get a period.  And if you don't want to get preg if you aren't, its time to decide what to do!   BF usually puts off your body re-cycling, but some EBF's cycle as early as 6 weeks!  For me it was 10 mos the first time, (and by then DS had weaned himself), and 6 mos the second time, while still EBF! (DD refused baby food, so was EBF til almost 11mos!) You never know!
