DH couldn't get enough of our nephew

We watched our 6 month old nephew today (and the two older kids too) while my sister went to a wake.  DH kept taking the baby from me and just said, "I'm so glad I got to spend time with him alone today."  His emotions were so obvious all night.  Bittersweet.

    I know how sweet & painful that can be. I love/hate seeing DH with small children. Hope it was a good day with them though.

    Aww... 

    It's hard to see, but it's also nice to see that our DH's longs for something as much as we do.

    IVF# 2 December '12, BFP 1/13! EDD 9/21 
    Complete Previa and Short Cervix. C-section scheduled for 9/3
    Delivered 8/5 @ 33 weeks, 4lbs, 6oz. 
    4-week NICU stay, home 9/3

    I agree it is hard to see when DH is so good with other people's little ones. I pray for us all on this board all the time that we will hopefully all get our BFP's.

    I feel the same way when DH plays with our friends babies, the longing in his eyes breaks my heart.

    Moments like that are definitely bittersweet - when I see my own DH with other people's LOs is breaks my heart but also makes me so anxious and exited for when the time comes that it's our own LO he's holding.
