Ok I was wondering if others have people asking already if they are pregegnant- people at work keep asking me and I am less then 5 wks. And i dont want them to know yet!!!!
they aren't asking me to my face, unfortunately they are all staring at me and asking my boss behind my back (my boss does know i am so she tells me when people ask her). it's so frustrating! i'm only 7 weeks but i have lots of IVF bloat so i'm really self conscious and i don't want people to know yet. i doubt i'll make it to 12 weeks b/c people are going NUTS around me with speculation! it's super annoying
diagnosed with stage IV endo via lap surgery
IVF #1 - 27 eggs! 14 fertilized (3 natural, 11 ICSI) 5dt of A embryo, froze 6
BFP on 9/28!
Baby K born via surprise c-section after 15 hrs of labor and he is perfect!!
are you recently married? people at work have been asking me if I'm pregnant for the last year, ever since I got back from my honeymoon... I've figured out good ways to deflect the questions and insinuations while I wasn't actually pregnant so now it's kind of routine. I usually just roll my eyes at them and brush it off these days so I don't have to out and out lie.
if you shared that you were ttc that might be a different story.
At 8 weeks I had ppl talking behind my back asking at work. I have told no one, but my best friend at work and she lied and told them not that she knew of. It seems my different tops and apparel due to bloat and trying to hide it with 'flowy" tops seemed to raise eye brows. They are going to gossip no matter what, so whatever.
Kinda funny... no one knows we had started trying, but 2 weeks before I found out I got a UTI and had to go to the doc (UTI is usually solvable for me by taking OTC azo pills) and my Mom asked if there was any chance I was preggo. I lied and said NOT AT ALL! 2 weeks later we got a BFP! I know she'll remember when we do tell them too!
Unfortunately I got sick at church, so my DH had SEVEN people ask him. I was pretty annoyed as well. He managed to get out of it without lying, except to one person.
Nobody at work would ever ever ask me that.. just a bunch of old men.. so I am lucky in that dept. Were you telling ppl that you were TTC?? I mean.. if so, you should expect those kind of questions!! I told everyone who openly knew i was TTC that I'm pg right away. I just think if you are close enough to tell someone you're TTC than why not? If you didn't tell them, then that is strange they are asking and I would just brush it off.. don't tell them until you are ready.

No but I am starting to get more bloated in the evening. Luckily I wear scrubs to work so I can hide it easily. With my 1st pregnancy into the 3rd tri people who didn't know I was pregnant just thought I was getting fat!! Also it helps that everyone thinks we are not trying for another until I am done with grad school. If you let people know you are thinking about trying for a baby they are going to continue to wonder if you are pregnant now.
Yes, and I'm only 4 weeks! I try to dodge the question.
This one really got me... my mom went to visit my aunt in CO and as soon as she got off the plane, my aunt asked my mom if I was pregnant. 1st question out of her mouth. How she knew, I'll never know.
At work they have been going behind my back to my boss. They told her I've been peeing a lot. Seriously, who at work should have time to count how often I pee (ha ha)! She is the only person who knows I am. She tells them not that she has heard, or that maybe I'm on one of those body cleansing diets. She is great : )
One of my friends asked me on Sunday because she invited us to dinner and I told her we weren't drinking. I used a diet as an excuse, but she still asked about 4 times.
Im a preschool teacher, so I went ahead and told my boss and the other preschool teachers. My boss told anyone who asked, because they would not ask me. Parents on the other hand, are giving me those "Is she pregnant or just fat?" stares. The women in my family show fast and get big so I just assume soon enough parents will figure it out. Oh and the wonderful m/s has kept me in the bathroom a lot during work, so the teachers needed to know!
No one has asked me yet, but I feel like people are starting to look at my belly more (I'm not stick-thin, but come on!). Also, one of the assistants in my office always tells me that she can tell when a girl on staff is pregnant because of her boobs - so now I feel like everyone is staring at my boobs. Great. Of course, I'm dying to shout it from the rooftops, but completely terrified and just want to make it through the first trimester first. This is going to be a harder secret to keep than I thought!
I know how gossipy my office is and I told a select few at first. I couldn't hide it for long because I was on bed rest for over a week and everyone kept asking so my boss asked if she could tell them. Why is the work place usually such a rumor mill??
yep. I got that question for the first time yesterday when I brought some saltine crackers and was snacking on them at my desk. We currently have one co-worker out on materinity leave and so my boss said to "uh..you're eating saltine crackers, should i be worried about you too?" I'm really not looking forward to breaking the news to the office. Everyone hates it when someone here is pregnant.
