We had Ella's done earlier this week. I was a nervous wreck! I had to wait outside while DH was inside with her. I think I cried more than she did. I can't bear to see her cry.
I did the same thing today. DD started crying before we walked in, so she was already crying when it was done. She was better shortly after. Hopefully she'll sleep good tonight from the stress.
For those of you that hate to see your child cry and upset from pain, whywould you do this anyway?
who EVER likes seeing their LO in pain and crying? uhm nobody, but parents alike still get their DD's ears pierced. it's what we grew up with and that's what we're doing with them.
it's better to do it now IMO because A they won't remember, B they don't pull on them and C they're over it in a matter of seconds...
if it were done later, you hear the complaining and the fact that they want them out because they "hurt so bad".
Re: Yay for ear piercing...
Claire's in the mall. The lady who did it was amazing too. She'd been doing it for 14 years.
lol us too
Good point. I waited until my DD was old enough to ask to get it done and I told her it would hurt..
ehhh this has been debated a kabillion times on here. (yeah, I said "kabillion", like a 4th grader)
Love your DD's name.
I wanted to spell my Madelyn's name the same way, but since I chose the name I let DH pick the spelling.
