First shot (ever) today!

I did my first shot of Lupron this morning!  I got really nervous as I was preparing it and just kind of stared at the needle for a minute.  But it really wasn't that bad.  I was pleasantly surprised.

So I saw njohnson is starting Lupron tonight....who else is with us?

    Good luck!  Press on the spot for a few seconds after withdrawing the needle and you'll end up with fewer ugly bruises! :)

    I've done injectables before (not Lupron) and it's definitely more mentally painful than physical.  You are so good you only stared at the needle for a minute.  The first time I did mine I was so emotional.  I was sweating so much because I was so nervous.  I think it took me 20 minutes before I injected myself.  I was crying so much because I couldn't believe it had come to this (that I actually have to stick needles in my belly to try to get pregnant!).  Ugghh, I was such a mess.

    I'm starting Lupron in a few weeks and sort of nervous about the s/e.  RE told me not everyone has s/e so I am hoping and praying not to have any.  GL to you!!!

    I start Lupron on Tuesday, so I'm not far behind you! I have done one cycle before when I was a donor and the shots are definitely not as bad as you think the'll be and its all worth it for the chance! When is estimated retrieval day?

    My estimated ER date is on Halloween! lol.  I'm not sure what to think of that, but I love that it's on a Sunday so I won't have to take another day off of work!
