Nursery Paint Colors

Does anyone know how I can find out what color to paint a nursery? The bedding is Bacati Botanical Sanctuary.

  • Not sure if this will work for you, but go to babysupermall.com and search for the bedding there.  If they have it, the site gives suggested paint colors that coordinate well, and you can buy sample-sized paint cans from them as well.

Otherwise, take a small item from the bedding (sheet, valance, dust ruffle) to a local paint or home improvement store, and ask an employee for suggestions for coordinating colors.

  • I personally decided to go with a more soothing neutral color instead of something bright. I thought that putting a bright color on the wall might make LO too stimulated and make him have a hard time sleeping. If you want to go with something like that, you could always pick a color you like from the beddign and then pick a lighter, paler shade of that same color.

Word of advice. If you do this... ask them to exercise extreme caution. The employee at Lowes got paint on my fabric when I brought it in for matching. :(

That totally sucks. I was lucky - we had decided that we're not using the valence that came with our bedding set, so we're using that to match things, since i don't care what happens to it.

I hope you were able to get the paint off.
