I switched to a new doctor when we started TTC because I wanted a doc that delivered at the hospital where I work. I saw the NP for my annual in June and was really impressed with her, but I had yet to interact with the other staff.
On Thursday when I woke up I had a very small amount of pink spotting. I had never had this issue before, but I've read so much about people who call their doctor to be told it's nothing, so I debated calling. I went ahead and called, and a nurse called me back within 15 minutes. She asked me some questions, then immediately put in an order for blood work, and said they would get the results in the morning.
I expected to have to call and nag them for my results, but they called me 10 minutes after their office opened. They said my HCG levels were excellent but my progesterone was "a little low" so they called in a prometrium (oral, thank goodness) script for me, scheduled an ultrasound for Monday, and a repeat progesterone test for sometime next week.
I was so impressed with their promptness and their willingness to be proactive to look out for me and my baby. I am hopeful that the u/s and repeat tests go well, and very glad that I chose this practice to work with.
Re: AW: Love my doctor's office!
Wow, sounds like a great place! After hearing some horror stories on this board about Dr.'s not responding to such issues this is wonderful to hear! Sounds like you found a keeper!!
Glad your spotting was nothing to worry about!!
