Do you use dryer sheets with baby clothes? My DH just said, "Well if the detergent has to be free from perfumes, why would we add some in the dryer?" I think it's a good point.
What do/did you do?

We don't use dryer sheets at all but I use fabric softener with our clothes. When I washed the baby clothes I just used a free and clear detergent and thats it...they didn't come out smelling all fresh and clean but I figure I will transition to the good smelling stuff once we see if she is allergic or not
Free and clear dryer sheets, but not for cloth diapers!
I bought a couple of the "dryer balls" for most of the baby clothes, and the cloth diapers. However, the dryer sheets really help with the static when you're drying fleece and such . . .

I don't use dryer sheets or fabric softener at all- most are fragranced and give clothes a waxy feeling. My SIL does though and when I sent her a load of my daughter's clothes (that had been washed and worn many times but still looked great) they were returned with major pilling, and a waxy coating... clothes (esp cotton and fleece) show SO MUCH more wear when you use dryer sheet and softeners. It also makes burp cloths, bibs and cloths diapers repell moisture- which is the opposite of what you want!
Re: another laundry question
I'm using Free and Clear dryer sheets as well as detergent.
