Infertility

day 9 of stims and "still early" :(

Today was my 4th follie check and I saw one of the 4 REs (usually it is a nurse).  This one is known for being blunt, so I guess I got a reality check of sorts.  She measured my lining which was only 6.2 and that was fine because I was probably still early.  Then she looked at my right ovary and asked if this was my first time back for monitoring!! Awesome, way to make me feel like there wasn't even anything worth monitoring there.  I have a decent number, but she was too rushed to count them today...so I could only see that the Ganirelix had kept the biggest one at 15.  I am so depressed about my lining though, it is no thicker than it was for my IUIs and I've heard "it will thicken up later on" too many times to believe anymore.  So it looks like I have several more days of stims, maybe more.

I wish I could just have a big glass of wine tonight.  Sad

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

  • I'm sorry sweetie. Hang in there, they will get things where they want them to be. Stay strong!

  • My RE likes 10-12 days of stims, so even with a few (or more than a few) more to go you're still in really good shape. I also find that my lining measurement is never consistent, bouncing from 10 to 8 to 6  to 11 to whatever, depending on who is measuring it. 6+ is good so again, you're on track, with room for growth..

I hope your next appointment is less rushed and shows that you're continuing to move forward.

    You're doing great!

  • i'm sorry you're disappointed. but slow and steady is just fine - i stimmed for 11 or 12 days for my cycle.

the important thing is that you are continuing to respond and that your levels are rising. you'll get to trigger before you know it ;) ((HUGS))

  • I am sorry hon.  I hope a few more days of stims and your follies will be nice and plump and your lining thickens as well.  Are they keeping you on the same dose?
