  I have heard some of the most ignorant, close-minded remarks over there. My favorite being a certain poster who insists that anyone who would birth at home is putting their child at risk for death. Or saying that midwives are annoying and try too hard to "play doctor."

  Hello and welcome! Yes, there is a huge difference between the tri boards and this one, but they can still be useful at times!

  You will most likely find that your opinion is respected here no matter what it is as long as you are respectful of other people's opinions. I have also found that no question is a stupid question (at least on this board anyway!)

  Welcome to the board!  I lurk on the trimester boards and only reply to posts occasionally, and even then never about anything controversial. I'm trying to have a relaxed, healthy pregnancy and the drama serves no positive purpose. I tend to hang out on my birth month board, attachment parenting and over here, so you're not alone in how you feel. I've found the ladies here to be supportive and knowledgeable and I hope you do too.

  I totally know what you mean! I have moved off those boards to this one since my 1st trimester. I also have been using diaperswappers as well since there is a somewhat smaller group there, and many, many supportive mommas. When I was TTC there were people on this site that made me cry, and I am pretty thick-skinned. I took a break from the site totally until we got our BFP and then found this great board.

  Welcome.. Although I'm hoping to not need to be here much longer.. hee hee.. I found this board a wonderful place to seek advice on your choices for a natural birth. These women just seem to actually think more about what they want for their birth and their children. It's sad to see how rare that is these days. I also post to my birth month board, it was nice to relate to people due at the same time about certain things. But I would stay off the trimester boards pretty much all together. So, again welcome..and good luck with your pregnancy.. = )
