I don't have a light in the ceiling, so I need lamps to light up the nursery. I have a couple table lamps, but could really use a floor lamp in the corner (that is connected to the on/off light switch in the room.) Then it hit me, is it safe to have a floor lamp in a little kid's room? I just have this image of LO in a year or so walking over and pulling at it/knocking it down etc. Did you guys do floor lamps or avoid them for safety reasons?
I know this is a potentially ridiculous post.

If you're worried about it, they do make lamps that plug in to an outlet, but attach to the wall, so there would be no base to knock over.
This was just the first one that came up on google...
