My hospital had really awesome pumps for me to use. I was only there 2 days, but I used the double pump at the hospital to help my supply come in faster and stronger. Plus LO wasn't latching, so I was having to bottle feed her my breastmilk.
I say DEFINITELY bring it! The hospital does have some available but it was great to have professional lactation consultants helping me with mine.
I also started pumping in the hospital to get my milk supply going - DS wasn't sucking so I wasn't getting much stimulation. If your baby has trouble latching or sucking, your milk won't come in as quickly, and it turns into a bad cycle.
I'm taking mine with me. The hospital does provide them if needed, but I am a weirdo about it and the idea of using a pump that someone else used just grosses me out. I know, it's supposed to be perfectly fine, but I think it's icky. So, I'm taking mine just in case I need it.
Don't bother. They have better pumps at the hospital then what I had. I had the Medela PISA. I had to pump because I ended up having latch issues and had to use a nipple shield, the pump helped with supply. I wound up taking home about 12 oz of milk.
