HCG @11 8 weeks post D&C

I had a D&C on 8/17 (I was 9 weeks pregnany).. Since then I have been going for weekly HCG level checks as it needs to get to below 5.  As of today 7.5 weeks post D&C I am still at 11.  I started to cry the instant I hung up the phone with the doctors office.  I was very hopeful this week would be the week but I was wrong, again, and I have to go for another blood test next Thursday. 

Has anyone else experienced this?  I just want to feel normal again and this is a constant reminder that my body is still confused.

Prior to D&C @ 95,000, Week 3 @ 141.8, Week 4 @ 32, Week 5 @ 24, Week 6 @ 13, Week 7 @ 11.

    My hcg only got up to 1882 when I m/c so it was back to 0 pretty much within 2 weeks of my D&C.  I am so sorry for your loss and your having to deal with this hcg issue.  I am sending positive thoughts your way that by next thursday you'll get the #s you want.

    I didn't have the HCG issue but waited FOREVER to get back to normal and for the first AF so I feel your pain.

    Waiting is so hard. Hugs.

    I'm sorry for your loss - For my third m/c - the numbers went down quite slowly, I hope yours are 0 by next week.   Here are my numbers:

    • 2 weeks after -->4500
    • 3 weeks after -->109
    • 4 weeks after -->47
    • 5 weeks after -->18
    • 7 weeks after --> 10
    • 8 weeks after --> 8
    • 9 weeks after -->6
    • 10 weeks after --> 0 (not below 5 but actually 0)

    FYI - I ended up ovulating about 10 days after they were 0.

    I hope they go down quickly for you!

    I did.  Mine was at 9 at 8w post m/c.  My doctor stopped testing at that point since I got AF a week later.  Unfortunately for some of us, our bodies take a long time to "get back to normal."  I hope next week is your week.
