Pregnancy pillow recommendations

Okay, I have gotten to the point where a flat pillow between the legs isn't going to cut it anymore. I was so miserable last night, and hardly got any sleep. I need a pillow to support my back and belly, and one that can help with sciatic pain if such a pillow exists. Which pregnancy pillow do you use and how do you like it?

  • I've got the snoogle, and I love it!

  • I also have the snoogle and don't love it.  I don't hate it, but I don't love it either.  I do find that I go to sleep quicker and haven't since had another bout of insomnia since getting the snoogle, but I don't find it supportive.  I try to get my stomach on the pillow and it just doesn't work out right, maybe I'm not quite the size necessary for it to work properly or maybe I'm just the exception.  I think everyones sleep style is different so it may work really well for you.

    Ditto !

  • I have a snoogle but my hips hurt and it only supports one side of your body or the other. I have sciatica too- I haven't found much that helps 100%

Sandylou has this one and I am SERIOUSLY considering it even though I have a queen bed and my DH won't have any room

I have to also agree!  I sleep with another pillow under my knee/thigh area though and that makes all the difference.

I also sleep with another pillow under the snoogle for my head since I've have/had horrible issues with post nasal drip.  All in all, I sleep with my snoogle and 4 other pillows.  It's my own little fortress!

  • I got the Leachco Back & Body pillow, and it's great for the hip pain I was experiencing. I just use it to prop myself up and it completely takes the weight off my hips.

Ha Ha Ha!! I love it! When DH is gone I totally have a fortress of pillows in the bed and this would happened before I was PG.

  • I can't sleep without my Snoogle, but I do agree that it's tough getting real belly support on it.  I might start propping my belly with a towel or something in addition to the Snoogle.
  • I have the Amy Coe Preggle (got it at Babies R Us), I've had it since about 16 weeks and it's started to go flat, but I still love it!  I am thinking of gettinga wedge to prop underneath my stomach when I'm on my side, because I think that could be causing some of the pain I get in my sides (the weight of the stomach being pulled to the bed stretching those muscles in my side).

THIS but I got mine about 10 weeks and it is already FLAT!  Can't get it fluffy again! ;-(

  • I'm in the same boat, and just ordered the boppy wedge pillow off Amazon. Something that i can put under my belly while lying on my side, that will actually fit there and not be awkward like a regular pillow, seems like it will really help, but I don't know yet! I also have just a big round bolster that I sometimes put a leg on, but I think it makes my hips hurt. It's hard to get comfortable!
