Sorry guys- but I just had a gut feeling when I read the post below:

I just don't understand what the fascination is with faking a twin pregnancy?! And really- it was only on the 5th page of "Google Images"- I didn't even really have to search for it...

I knew something was up!

The whole first post was about family's reactions (which just sounded awkward and fake) and that was strange.

It annoyed me, thus made me suspicious, that her "parents" also said they would have to "get you guys" a bigger place. Implying, I assume, that they would buy it.

Who has time to make up this crap? Do you just decide one day, "oh I'm bored, I'm going to pretend I have twins and steal an u/s picture off the internet (not very well BTW) and then make up a story". What is the point?

Seriously. I didn't even read the replies from people before I googled "Twin Ultrasound 7 weeks"...

Just went back a few pages and there are few red flags too from her very first post announcing her pregnancy...the big one for me from that post is "when the put the doppler thingy on my stomach"- um; aren't ALL early u/s's (especially 6 week pregnancy ones) internal?

She claims that they started external but when they saw the twins they switched to internal to date her... bizarre. I hope she responds before running away...

Nicely done! When I read her Mom's "response" I rolled my eyes and thought it sounded weird. Whose mother would initially react with all the "double the...." cliches??!! My mother was just screaming!

What is the point in faking a pg let alone a twin pg? Do people think having multiples is like the"cool club?" What is wrong with them? I cant imagine what is going through their head when they do this.

Sad that this keeps happening. Unfortunately, those that are faking are probably either teens who think that multiples are fun or cool or women who are struggling with issues.

At my 8w appointment, my midwife used the u/s on my stomach. She said she felt funny about using the transvag wand because of the placement and the waves and the baby blah blah organic blah. I didn't care. She was just playing around and I got to see the heartbeat!!

So ... it didn't even blip on my radar about the "doppler thingy" ... because I just had that happen to me this past week!

I really don't understand fakers...why go to that much effort? What's the point? They must be REALLY bored.

DH asked me the other day why I watermark photos on my blog - something I started doing when the boys were born. I explained to him how often people steal ultrasounds scans and pictures of multiples off blogs and try to pass them off as their own...I don't think he quite believed me that this happens all.the.time. (I know watermarking can be cropped out, but I hope this deters at least the lazy photo thieves lol)

This is getting so old. I remember the first time it happened after I joined the board... I was so appalled! Even the last time it happened I was really bothered by it. For some reason it's not even interesting to me this time. Maybe because she was caught early on before she had spent several hours on her fake life.

Wow, being new here, I never thought anyone would do that. It is scary to me to be having twins. We have been pregnant with twins before but had bad outcomes. People are nuts. I couldn't read the original link but glad someone figured it out early, how crazy.
