LOL. She used to chew/suck on the corners where the circles are... So I ran out and bought the sucking pads. And now she doesn't do it anymore and I'm stuck wearing these funny looking pads. :-/

Good thing I asked here! I didn't know these sucking pads existed until now! But it looks like it only covers the straps? LO sucks on the area perpendicular to the straps, not actually the straps themselves...so in my case, the sucking pads won't really work, unless it attracts the baby to suck on it instead of the carrier part?

Yeah, they are velcro. But I wonder if we took them off would they start gnawing again? I've just left the pads on even though she doesn't suck on them because I think it's better than having her go back to sucking on the straps. Maybe if you got the pads he wouldn't bother sucking on the other part either? Maybe they just deter them altogether? Or try putting a burp cloth first to see if that works?

This! I actually lost one, so I only have one..now that really looks funny!
Yes Bella does it too but I figure it must feel good for her mouth/teeth so I just let her be Guess I don't care enough to buy these "sucking pads"... whatever works for Bella is good with me, I'm a sucker I know!

yes, that is why they sell the sucking pads!!!
but they call them sucking pads and charge more $$$ when it looks just like car seat strap covers (google it) which are cheaper

Yes, removable. But you know that as soon as I take them off she'll start sucking/chewing on the Ergo again!
