help... DS SCREAMS for food but then only eats for a couple minutes

Its driving me nuts - what do I do?  Paci doesn't help.  being swaddled doesn't help.  Rocking doesn't help.  He screams till I pick him up and then tries to suck my face off.  So I figure he's hungry.  So I give him my boob and sucks for a few minutes and sort of tapers off.  Then he usually nods off for a few minutes and then he screams again.  :(:(  I've tried to put him to sleep but then again with the screaming... :(  Help.
We said "I Do" on 9/27/2008!

    You just described my day. I don't know whats going on, but I know its given me a bad headache.

    Nursed without dairy, egg, soy, peanut, treenut, fish, shellfish or beef for over a year.
    Currently tandem nursing dairy, egg, and shellfish free.
    DS born via emergency c/s after 20 hrs of labor. DD successful VBAC!

    My LO has been doing that today too!  Must be something in the air. =)  I tried to give her a pacifier and it made her furious!

    I think my DD is just overtired.  She is down right.  Hopefully it will stay that way.

    wow this was my day exactly as well!! kinda freaky!!  he would not take the paci until later this evening...finally I got him to bed..I think he was just really tired.  I took him on a 30 minute walk and he didn't fall asleep!! crazy!!

    this was our story until it got to the point where she would scream and twist every time she had a few sips (she's ff). now we're in the hospital trying to diagnose either reflux, a milk allergy, or something else. i'm sure it's nothing too bad, but see your pedi if it doesn't improve.

    Could your baby have gas? when mine got like this i gave her gas drops. cuase they might need a real good burp. that normally always makes her fell better when ever she acts like that. well good luck
