Making some progress on the memorial tattoo

My appt is next Thurs w/the best tattoo artist in buffalo, Mike Taylor.

I'm getting a heart w/angel wings and this quote underneath it:

"Nos vero parte nunquam Semper enim in corde meo."

(We will never truly part for you are always in my heart)

The wings I am going to show him are the black ones in the upper right hand quadrant.

Below is why I was thinking I want it larger, bec I LOVE the "brown" heart in the upper right had quadrant.

Thanks gals! Well I wanted it small and on my left wrist. But now that I'm looking at how beautiful it can be by adding details I want it bigger so i was thinking about changing it to my right foot, but I dn't know...What do you gals think??

ETA- ignore the top portion of the heart pic. I like the brown one in the upper right hand quadrant of the (bottom half) ...

You're starting to really scare me - my foot is where I was going to get it. The only thing is I have heard the foot hurts really bad! But I have never had even one tattoo so I don't have anything to compare it to.

My tat on my foot didn't hurt at all!!! It more tickled.

I love love love the series of stars, behind the ear! I want that so bad! I also like the inside of the wrist. Maybe a dragon fly or there are so many options of angel wings... Go to Bing.com and search "angel wings images" I really really liked alot of the "vectors" so to narrow the search you can say "angel wing vectors" and browse there!

My friend said that "that" kind of tattoo wouldn't "fit" on the foot... I dont' know what that even means. I know I heard the foot hurts bad. I feel like the wrist woulnd't hurt as bad. My boob didn't hurt at all.... but I already have one there! LoL

no way! Like everyone I talked to said the foot hurt bad! Dude it hurts when my dogs step on my foot, I cant really imagine the needle! Sorry lorlei! Pick somewhere "fatty" and it wont' hurt!

I have a heart with wings & halo tattoo that I got to memorialize my first loss. I have it off to the left of my lower abdomen. Now I'm trying to think of something to do for my 2nd loss. Thinking of just adding another halo but not sure. Ideas?

I really like the heart you have picked out and the variety of wings. It will be very detailed and the more detail you have the larger it will need to be to fit it in.

I know! Thats why I'm torn about putting it in my original spot or moving it so i can have a more detailed heart. As for your addition...I would say to put something "in" the heart maybe? To indicate that you have 2 angel babies? Or adding little tiny hearts on the upper-outer edge of the wings? One on each side to remember each of your angel babies? Or little stars...

You've made great progress! You have your designed nailed and an appointment, you're ready! I love love love the design! It amazes me how many women get or at least want a tattoo to honor their lost LOs. I guess this isn't the dark ages anymore! I just got mine (a shooting star on my right side) 2 1/2 weeks ago and I love it. I went back and forth a little before I decided that I didn't just want it, I needed it. I feel more of a sense of closure since I got it and I hope your tattoo helps you in a similar way. No matter where you get it it'll be gorgeous. I'd do it in the center of my upper back sweeping out to each shoulder blade. Because it's gonna be kinda big and symmetrical, that would be a really good spot, but that's just my opinion. I have a tattoo that starts wrapping around my ankle and runs down my foot, and the ankle part hurt waaaay more than my foot. Also, the most painful part of my tattoo I just got on my side wasn't the bony rib part but the fattier skin below. Good luck and I can't wait to see it!!

I think that's going to be beautiful when it's finished! I can't wait to see it. I have my butterfly in between my shoulder blades. Mine is also larger so you can see the details of the torn wing.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not sure if something inside my heart will work because it's colored in but I'll consider it and talk to the artist when I go.
