Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Where to buy swim suit?

I want to do mommy & me swim lessons with DD, but cannot find her a suit. (it doesn't help that I'm looking for one during fall...)

The only ones I have found are too big for her - do manufacturers think that babies don't swim until they're a year old?

  • Loading the player...
  • gymboree has one online in sizes 3-6 to 3T

the children's place has one 0-3 to 12mos

  • I have a small iPlay sunsuit I found on a deals website.  I love the suit and the spf protection of it, but I have a skinny minny and it was too big around the waist in the shorts @ 4 months to use the awesome swim diaper.  We threw a pocket diaper underneath and went with it.

I haven't tried it on her recently.  She weighed 12.5lbs at 4 months.

  • I saw a couple at the outlets when I was shopping. I ended up buying one from Gymboree on clearance.  OldNavy.com also had some on clearance recently.
  • My DD is taking the Waterbabies class at the Y at the end of the month so I just bought her a bathing suit.  I got one in the clearance boxes at Gymboree for like $4 and then I found one at Goodwill for $3.  Just my personal observation (maybe other people have had different experiences), buy a size bigger than you think she needs.  The first one I bought was too small for her even though she was within the height and weight listed on the tag.
