Cloudy Pacifiers?

  I sanitized my pacifiers (as I regularly do in boiling water), but some of them look cloudy now.

  Does anyone know why that happens and if so, do I just need to get rid of them?

  I could "google" it, but figured someone on TB must have had this happen to them too at some point or another.

  I happened to one of the pacis we were using before DS decided he didn't want pacis anymore.  Anyways, we just threw it away.  I couldn't determine the source of the cloudiness and that made me a little nervous.

  I washed in hot water with a little mild soap, and it looks better. However, I am still concerned that there might be an underlying problem. I am probably thinking about it too much I think it might just be time to get some new ones!

  That happens with our bottle nipples a lot.  I don't know what causes it but i don't worry about it.

  Now that I think about it, that happened to one of our bottle nipples too. However, DD refuses the bottle now, so I've not even thought about that in a while.

  This happened to a few of ours. I just assumed it was because they were old and threw them away. The package says to replace them every 3 months and thats about when they turned cloudy.
