I am apparently friends with/related to people who are INCREDIBLY CONVINCED that the stupid purse status is the BEST way to raise awareness. And feel the need to tell me such on my status that is actually ABOUT awareness.

I like it on a hook by the back door.

But I totally agree with you. It's cutesy but I really doubt it does a lot for awareness of anything.
You're suppose to post where you keep your purse as your status, and somehow that relates to breast cancer awareness. Kind of like how they did the bra color last year. At least the bra color was related to boobs.
So a lot of people have their status as "I like it on the counter" etc. Someone sent me a message telling me to do it, but didn't mention that it was suppose to raise awareness, she just said it's to drive men crazy.
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I'm aware that this is probably a wildly unpopular opinion but all the breast cancer stuff drives me insane.
Are people really that unaware nowadays that we need facebook statuses to raise awareness?
Because last I checked you can't buy gum or watch an NFL game with out being "made aware".
And I can't tell you how aggravated I get when it is damn near impossible at times to find women's sports equipment that isn't pink or has a damn pink ribbon on it.
"It's a child, not a cheeto" Thanks mmariluh!
"Ew. I've read all of two posts from you, and you stink like rotting garbage."
It isn't about raising breast cancer awareness so much as it is about being an attention whore.
I'm pretty sure we're all "aware" of breast cancer with all the pinkwashing that's been going on.
That's what it was when it first went around last year or earlier this year. It originally didn't have anything to do with breast cancer awareness at all. That's why it's annoying me.
