progesterone testing 5dpo or 8dpo?

I know it's supposed to be done at 7dpo but my 7 will fall on Sunday and labs aren't open.  So would you go Friday at 5dpo or Monday at 8dpo?  fwiw my lp is usually 10 days and last cycle was only 7 so I'm thinking maybe 5dpo is the better choice just in case I have another extra short lp and don't make it to 8, just wanted other opinions.  tia

    If your LP is 10 days, I would definately go with 5.  My doctor is repeating my testing (again!) because we didn't get it right in the middle of my LP.  Double-check with your doctor, though, but I'm guess 5.

    My doctor told me to go on Monday if 7DPO fell on a weekend.  I'd call.

    I know it is not helpful to get conflicting answers, but my OB had me do it anywhere between 7 and 9 dpo.  So, if it were me, I would choose 8.

    I was supposed to go in 7 DPO, but couldn't make it that day. He said it was fine to go the next day.

    1st pregnancy: BFP- 6/28/09 - Found out we lost our little girl on 10/9/09 at 19w 4d - D&E- 10/14/09

    June 2010, corrective surgery for Septate Uterus and large fibroids

    2nd pregnancy: BFP- 10/18/10 - Slow rising, non-doubling HCGs, no heart beat. Non-viable pregnancy, D&C- 11/12/10

    Started Metformin 6/30/11, Started Clomid 7/20/11 - Unsuccessful

    HSG and Laparoscopic surgery revealed blocked tubes and lots of scar tissue...IVF here we come!!!

    I would also go on 8dpo....progesterone peaks at 7dpo, so 8dpo would give you better results.

    2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
    TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    I'm just worried about if I have another cycle that I don't make it past 7dpo. I'll call today and see what they say. Maybe I can do 5 and go again on 8 if I make it that far.

    I have to have a test done on a sunday (as it falls then) and my doctor wrote up the orders and sent it over to the hospital.  I am to walk through the ER and have it done there so it is done on the correct day.  I would call your doctors office.
