BBB registry note

Just an FYI for those who have set up, or plan to set up registries at buybuyBaby. They apparently don't send the completion discount coupon until at least 2 weeks AFTER baby is due. (Just talked with customer service this morning.) When I registered, they told me it would go out 2 weeks after my scheduled baby shower. Not the case it turns out. So I have been holding out waiting for this coupon to get lots of essentials, which obviously doesn't make sense. I went in to my online registry and changed my due date to much sooner, so we'll see if I get this magical discount. ANYwho....if you have a registry at BBB, you might want to go in and change your due date so you get the completion coupon sooner.

    I called them and they told me it would be sent out 2-4 weeks before my EDD. I told them that I was afraid that I might deliver early. They said to come into the store and the registry department would give me a 10% coupon, but that when my completion coupon came in the mail it would have the same barcode and wouldn't work. So, I was able to get everything that I needed about 5 weeks before my EDD. Good luck to you.

    I also received mine about 2 weeks before my EDD that I listed on my registry.

    Seriously???? Why do I keep getting different stories on this?? How bizarre. Well.....maybe I'll try stopping by the store and see if I can get the coupon early. Has anyone else been able to get the coupon early?

    When I registered in the store, they told me that I would receive it 2 weeks AFTER my EDD. The consultant also told me that I can try to get it early by changing my due date. Good luck!

    Maybe it depends on the store b/c I put my EDD as 9/26 and still haven't gotten my completion coupon.

    This is really discouraging. From the local store I heard 2 weeks after your shower date. Then this morning I called the national customer service number and was told approximately 2 weeks after due date. This is really crazy. I also called Target (my other registry) and they said they will be sending out the completion discount within a couple of weeks and I can expect it like 2 to 4 weeks before EDD, so I may just move everything every to Target and buy from there. BBB is just too unorganized and confusing it seems.

    That's what I thought too...I think they said 1-2 weeks after due date.  BUT...they mailed mine to me a couple weeks ago. 4-5 weeks BEFORE my due date...I did not call or ask for it.  Some women put their baby shower date as the due date.  My shower was on 9/11 and I received the couple a week or so later although I gave therm by 10/27 due date.  Go figure!

    At BRU we went the week after the shower and the manager entered the coupon since we wanted to buy everything early and have it ready before the baby arrives....they said when the actual coupon is mailed to me it will not be valid if I try to use it.

    Yeah I got mine like 2 weeks ago...which would be about 4 weeks before my EDD. I can't see why they would make a policy to send it after your due date...seems pointless.
