How many weeks before you are due are you planning on having your shower? What is typical would you say?

My hostess planned mine for nov 7, and I am due Jan 17. So I will be about 30 weeks.

It seems kind of early to me, but she is planning it, so it was up to her. I think she just wanted it spaced out from the holidays.

Since we live many states away from family we are having one over Thanksgiving (my husband's fam) and one over Christmas (my fam & friends) and of course the ladies at work want to throw me one but don't know when.

I am due Feb 1st and our showers will be Nov 13 & Nov 21. So early b/c DH deploys for 6 months shortly after that and he wants to be here for the showers.

My mother is throwing me one on Jan 15th. I am due March 1st. I wanted it earlier because she is 5 hours from me, but with the holidays that was the best date available.

Mine is in 2 1/2 weeks! I am flying to my moms in San Antonio! Woot woot. We are doing it then because I will be 30 weeks and I don't want to fly after 32 weeks. I live in Montana so it's easier for me to go to everyone than everyone come here....

I am due Feb 8 and my shower is Nov 6. My BFF who is hosting it picked the date due to the holidays. Many of our family have events starting the end of November and running to mid January. She also didn't want me to feel rushed to get everything organized.

I am having a couple the week before Thanksgiving because my family is from a different state and I won't be able to travel any later than that. I will be about 30 weeks. However, I am having one locally around 35 weeks.

I will be 31 and 34 weeks when I have my two. My fiance's family wanted me to do it at 24 weeks, in early Nov but I was not comfortable doing it that early. The shower's seem like a lot of headache and drama so far, so i hope I have fun

I will be btn 30 & 32 wks. I'm due 4.14.11 & my shower will be btn Feb 12th & 19th. My family lives in Atlanta/I'm in South Florida so I'll be going home for my baby shower.

I think 1-2 months is probably the typical time to have them. Mine is going to be when I am 30 weeks because anytime after that would be during the holidays.

Mine is Nov. 21st, I'm due Feb. 14th. My SILs are hosting it and they both live out of town. Since they will be in town the week of Thanksgiving, this seemed to make the most sense.

I can't wait!!

My mom and sister are hosting a shower for me in early February. I'm due in early April. Traditionally, "typical" is anytime after 7 months. But, since so many persons live many miles from family and friends, "typical" would be whenever is convenient for the person(s) hosting the shower, the mom to be and "VIP" guests (whoever the mom to be thinks MUST me there)

I'm not. We are in the Army and move around to much. In three weeks we will pick up and move again. Then I'll be in OK till the delivery date. After that God knows where. No, I really mean that. We have not gotten our new orders but we know it will not be in TX.

Due to the REALLY unpredictable weather in Northeast PA my mom is scheduling mine for Nov. 14th and my due date is Jan 9th. I'll be about 33 weeks. Any closer and we risk a friggin' blizzard. lol.

I'm kind of happy that its that early though, considering a lot of key pieces for our nursery are on my registry (bedding, valances, lamp, laundry basket, storage bins...etc). So hopefully I will still have enough moxie left in me to get some things accomplished after the shower!!
