I have (at the most) $400 to spend on prints.
I have a space above my fireplace that is 70'' wide by 50" tall.
I want a large photo there. I would love if it were canvas but at $300 and I would like more images, I just can't afford it. So maybe a vertical print hanging and some smaller prints sitting on the mantel.
What vertical family print would you chose?
Or should I just saw screw it and get a large horizontal print and then get smaller prints for around the house?
This is so hard. I wish money grow on trees so I could just saw screw it and buy them all! Grrr.
Re: Ok Ladies. I need help.
Or for $375 I can get 5 digital images.
There is also a Little One package that is 2 11x14, 2 8x10, and 3 5x7.
Ugh. What should I do?
I am driving myself crazy. And by putting the midnight time limit on myself (to save 10%) I made it much worse.

The family decided to put money on the 5 digital images. That way they can each get 5 images each for cheaper than 5 4x6s. This makes it cheaper for me too.
I don't think I am going to get pro pics again. This is too hard. I don't get all the rights. I can't make a decision. They are too damn expensive. I am super stressed out about it. There are pictures that I want but not enough to pay $35 per 4x6 for. I am sad that I will never see them again after this though. I am so ridiculous. I am almost in tears over this.
I'm sorry Ashley, that really sucks
My friend found a photographer that did a session for $50 (I think) and he gave her a CD of all the images. I think he's out of Hayward?? I can see if I can find his info. I was thinking of contacting him to do some more pics of Gavin next year
Maybe you can try to work with the photog on a deal? My wedding photographer did the same basic thing - a set fee for 5 images and then $$ per image after that. I asked if she would be willing to make a deal for all of the images and she let me have them for $500 (which was the cost of something like 10, and I got 200+ for that price). It wouldn't hurt to ask.

I would definitely try to negotiate something - after all the photographer has already put all the work into it any ways. I would be so sad not to see any of those photos anymore either. I guess that is how they "get" you though. I don't think I will ever go with a photographer that doesn't offer all the rights for a *reasonable* price.

They do wedding photography mostly I think and just did this on the side. I saw the pictures and they turned out fine
I have been searching my area since I was 15 weeks pregnant for a photog in my area. She is the first one I found that I actually liked. The photogs that offered discs were $600+. I wish I lived in LA for photogs. That's where all the really good ones are. I am still so sad.
I saw your family pics - SO cute!
It looks like you already decided to buy the 5 images on disc...but just wanted to say to go big with whatever you decide to print/put on canvas. I have a 16x20 canvas on my mantel and, honestly, it needs to be bigger. If you're signed up with Groupon, Canvas on Demand does a Groupon pretty frequently -- it's usually for a 16x20 canvas but you can put that credit towards a larger one.
Definitely check out Mpix.com for your prints. I actually love to use MpixPro to fill my client orders because I like how their colors print in comparison to other labs - Took me forever to find a lab that I love. Mpix prices are reasonable and the quality and color is going to be way better than Wal-Mart/Walgreens/etc. You've spent a lot of money to have these photos, definitely take them somewhere that's going to print them the way they were meant to look.
