DS is sick - vent

I am so pissed off! I repeatedly asked in-laws and others not to kiss DS's hands because the flu season is coming on. I told them politely to please kiss his head or feet and not his face or hands because he constantly keeps his hands in his mouth. But they still go ahead and do that and now poor child is sick and so are DH and I.

It's so painful to watch a sick baby that I just want to cry

    i know it's painful to see your LO sick, but unless you keep them in a bubble all their life, it's going to happen at some point or another.  unfortunately, we can't shield them from everything! :(

    Babies get sick.  We get sick.  You can't prevent it.  Keeping LO in a bubble is asking for a super bug because they have no immunity.  My DS got sick last Saturday.  He is feeling better already.  It'll run its course and he'll be back to his normal self soon enough.

    I remember your freakout from last week. It could have just as easily been you that got him sick you realize that? Or he could have picked something up from the store or ANYWHERE.

      Maybe, maybe not, but why was it so hard for them to kiss his head not not his hands??? I did not tell them not to kiss the baby, just not to kiss his hands. Yes, babies get sick, and yes, you cannot keep them in the bubble, but simply avoid extra possibilities for them not to get sick is to avoid kissing their hands during flu season. if this is so hard, then I don't know what is easy
