Anyone know if there is somewhere in the twin cities that does BM donation? We don't have a seperate freezer, & are running out of room in our fridge freezer - I thought I would look into it rather than throw it out...We're also looking into buying a chest or upright freezer, but it would have to wait a little bit. (unless anyone's looking to get rid of one!
Re: BM donation ?
They have some specific conditions that the milk has to be pumped and stored under, but U of M has a milk bank

I ended up donating some of my excess freezer stash to a mom of an adopted baby. I connected with her via Craigslist.
Milkshare connects parents for direct donation, either local or those willing to pay for shipping.

I highly recommend milkshare (link above). I donated through there last spring and part of the summer to a local mom of twins who was not making enough to feed one of the twins. Her twins were almost 3 months premature so BM was essential for them.
You can post on there and moms/families will contact you on milkshare. It's a really cool thing to do! I got to meet the family and the little baby. It was neat!
