DS HATES being swaddled! We did swaddle him the first couple of weeks of his life, but after that, it was a no-go.
Currently he sleeps in his swing and it's no problem. He feels safe and contained, and is free to move around. What can I say? He needs to be moving all the time...he's like his mom!
A friend of mine just called me to let me know she picked my little guy up a Woombie,w hich is basically a tight sleep sack (picture a baby in a sleeping bag)...
I"m curious to try it, as if he takes to it, it may make transitioning to his crib easier...does anyone have experience with a baby that didn't like to be swaddled, but took to this?
Re: Woombie...any experience??
DD had to be swaddled because her hands would keep her awake all night - then a friend gave u the woombie - we used it for about 3 nights then tried with no swaddle and no woombie, and she did great! So, we don't use either now!
But, when we did use the woombie, she didn't seem to like it because she had no way of getting out! But, she would fight for about 5 minutes then pass out and sleep all night!
