Have you asked your Mom's what their pregnancies were like?

Just curious if pregnancies are similar to our mother's. I just asked my Mom and she said she had no morning sickness/nausea whatsoever so I'm hoping I'll follow suit!

my mom had no morning sickness at all. In all fairness right now it mostly nausea with one episode of sickness so far. but i expect more with the way i have been getting nauseated. my sister does not know i am pregnant yet, so i cannot ask her yet without rousing suspicion, but i think she had little to none.

i am actually nauseated right now because i smell hotdogs in my office - someone on my floor must have had them for lunch

My mom had really bad morning sickness with me.

My first pregnancy I was really really sick starting at 6 weeks.

This time I'm having nausea but thankfully no vomiting yet.

my mom had six children and she told me that she had severe morning sickness with all of them, i dont have sickness, just nausa here in there.. my sisters have told me that with their pregnancies they were nauseas but not sick ..

My mother had severe morning sickness with both my brother and I and so far, I've been extra gaggy as far as brushing my teeth and things like that but no morning sickness.

My mom said she didn't remember her morning sickness being bad- but I'm not convinced it will be the same for me, as I had some stomach troubles pre-pg. I also read that women that are prone to motion sickness are more prone to m/s... has anyone else heard this? If that's the case, I can definitely be expecting some m/s here eventually (I haven't had it yet).

I think everyone in our family knows my Mom's story. To quote her:

"I was so violently sick to my stomach I thought I was dying...so Dad made me make a doctor's appointment."

She was on BC pills (when she got PG with me AND 3 yrs later with my brother...and swears she was taking them religiously! lol) so she really didn't think she was pregnant. They were newly married & pregnancy was welcomed but really not on her mind!!

I"m about 5 weeks, 4 days...no morning sickness yet but dreading the thought I might be like my mom was with both of her pregnancies!

I don't have any but neither did my mom, or her mom (all 9 pregnancies she had!) My mom did have migraines through the first tri with both her kids, but I'm not sure she's ever gotten one when not pregnant.

I really hope I follow suit in the anti-MS category, I really hate vomiting.
