I went to see my new acupuncturist today. He is the bomb! We went through the yada yadas and the needles, put me on some herbal supplements and all that good stuff. He works directly with our RE too. I also told him I am experiencing stress and anxiety. He put these little needles with a cover patch (sort of like a dot bandaid) on my ear lobs where it meats the cheek. They stay on for two weeks. Any time I am feeling bad I am to squeeze them. Today has been a stressful office day, I will say these suckers work!
ETA: this is his diet plan
NO dairy, beef, lamb, garlic, dried ginger, cayenne pepper, coffee or tea (not even decaf) or alcohol
Ok egg, turkey, chicken, pork, fish, tofu, apple, grapefruit, kiwi, watermelon, strawberry, blueberry, unripened peach and pear. Meals to be 80% veggies.
nothing cold whatsoever. drink 1 cup raspberry tea daily.
ETA again... oh and I am to start charting again.
Re: Had a great appt today
I'm glad it went well! Bummer about the strict diet but it is going to be so worth it and I bet you will feel great eating that healthy!
(((HUGS)))
Yeah for a great appt!! Why unripened peach and pear I wonder?
I have a kick--ass chicken with apple recipe if you want it!
Huh... My RE said no soy. Maybe it's only certain kinds that are bad and I ignored him when he said I could eat tofu cause... um... it's tofu.
The dairy is what would kill me... I mean, does this include baked goods that include dairy too? And why only UNripened peach/pear?
Not doubting him... just really curious as to the reasons behind this.
that sounds great! I have a hard time with chicken, but look like I need to eat it up. I am shocked at garlic, I cook with garlic every day

There is something about Tofu vs. other soy products. I still avoid all soy thanks to ColindaP
I was in a very relaxed state when I asked about the peach and pear and faintly remember something about enzymes. I will ask again or do some research.
So neat about those 2 week needles!
Glad you had a good visit.

I LOVE this update! sorry the diet is restrictive - but also sounds doable to a certain extent (it's not totally limiting everything, which is good. I'm always wary when you are so limited).
those little needle patch things sound fascinating!
I'm hoping this helps with some of the stress of all of this!
(I for one took an hour nap during my session today, it was heaven).
