It wasn't fun. And I really just wanted to yell at her for her second to last comment which was about trying to protect us from our babies dying. I have watched 2 people close to me (one of my cousins and a friend) bury a baby and watched as my SIL got close to losing hers. Using a story like that under the guise of trying to save our babies is just inappropriate. I know that what those babies died of or almost died of were unpreventable (i.e. genetic conditions, heart defects), but that doesn't mean when a story like that has a slightly blamable cause that we should put the story out everywhere.
I would have hated to see my friend's loss of a child being posted online everywhere as a way to promote as extensive of testing as you could get because in all honesty, it wasn't her fault and there wasn't much that could be done to save the child (especially since the doctors did try everything to save her).
So pretty much you missed out on someone exploiting the sad story of the death of a child to try to say that circumcision is evil.
I had to leave for a bit and came back to check and it was gone. Did she acknowledge at any point that th post was very exploitative?
Nope, she actually DDed after about half a page of posts asking her to delete it and she stuck by her opinion that it should be a cautionary tale and then even threw in another tiny cautionary tale about her brother dying of SIDS because he slept with a blanket.
Re: Ahh! DD & I was JUST clicking on it.
Believe me-you did not miss anything.
The woman was Grade A Stupidity and I am glad she deleted it for the sake of the family she used.
I was left speechless by her stupidity and lack of respect.
I kept getting bump errors and then poof!
No idea what it was about...but now I'm not sure I want to know...soooooo...
Let's sing Kumbaya...
And look at pictures of puppies:
